DifferentRealm

I discovered the magic of books in my childhood, only to replace them with the magic of boys in my teens ;) After years of trying to achieve my very own real life fairytale I decided real life can kiss my ass and went back to books and never looked back. Now I am a self-proclaimed bibliophilic (have the tattoo) and couldn't be happier.

On Dublin Street - Samantha Young This is my first book by SY........... and I was blown away!!!!! I usually HATE damaged characters because I tend to feel unsatisfied, pissed off and emotionally exhausted by the end of the book, but this was nothing like that. Joss and Braden are amazing and although I would have liked to see Ellie and Adam have their own story, everything else was EXEPTIONAL!!!!
Beautiful Disaster - Jamie McGuire AMAZING!!!! I've read it twice already and I can't get enough of it. If you enjoyed Bared to You or Fifty Shades of Grey you will love this story.
Gabriel's Inferno (Gabriel's Inferno, #1) - Sylvain Reynard Why o why did I buy this book???? I read some fabulous reviews and decided I had to read it too....... Everyone who wrote a good review for this book should chip in for my next book. This is one of the most ridiculously boring books I have ever read. But not normal boring where you can't continue reading it anymore oh no no no. This is the kind you push through the boring expecting, hoping, praying that something will happen and make it all worth it...... But it never does. It was like the longest lecture on a subject I care and know nothing about. It should come with instructions to study before reading it. And on top of all this nonsence, the characters are idiots, and less than believable just like the story.
Edge of Dawn (Midnight Breed, #11) - Lara Adrian SPOILER ALERT!!!!

As a big fan of the series I have been looking forward to this book for a long, long time. I fell in love with Mira as soon as I met her when she was a little girl, and seriously, who wouldn't? She was freakin adorable! And I love that I got the opportunity to see how she turned out. Two thumbs up for Lara just for that. I love when I get what I want :) I really liked Kellan too and think they make a great couple. I mean, she's loved him forever. But I felt something was missing on Kellans part. Everything he said and did was right, but I felt his character lacked emotion. I don't know how to explain it, and it could just be me, cause honestly, I'm not the most forgiving person. And the way he just left her???? What an ass. But maybe you all are much better human beings than I and will think differently [suckers]. Anyway, overall, the book was really good and definitely left me wanting to read more about the new group of characters, as well as some old ones.
Jacked Up - Erin McCarthy This is the first time I write a review before I'm done with a book, and that is not a good thing. I'm about 2/3 through and hope I can make myself finish it. It is past the point of no return for me and I know that regardless of the ending, this will not change.

Let me start off by saying that I really like Erin McCarthy, but I cannot stand Eve. This story makes no sense to me. I understand wanting to create obstacles and difficulties that they have to overcome to be together, but this is ridiculous, Eve doesn't deserve Nolan. The only man in her life not related to her should be a shrink. The woman has waaaaaayyyyyyy too many issues and should remain single. At this point the only way this story can redeem itself is for Nolan to forget all about Eve and find someone else. I've never so strongly dislike a female character unless I'm meant to which I don't think was the idea here.

I was actually really looking forward to this book. I thought we would get to see another side of Eve and that it would clear up how she has been portrayed in other books. I was expecting excuses or explanations about why she did the things she did and it turns out that she was just a crazy, rude, obnoxious, cranky, unhappy, unsatisfied woman. There was never any other side of her to see. This is who she is.

I wish I never found out.

All of this said, I really liked this series, I would just skip this book but the prior ones are definitely worth reading.
Bared to You - Sylvia Day A GUARANTEED GOOD READ.........

WOW!!! I am in love with this book. As soon as I started reading it I couldn't put it down. I enjoyed everything about this book, the story, characters, setting, all of it. I was a little annoyed with Eva by the end of the book though. My tolerance for her lack of a back bone with both Gideon and Cary were being pushed to it's limits and although a part of me was dying to continue reading about them, the other part was glad it stopped when it did before my 5 starts turned to 1. She did an amazing job of knowing how much was too much.

THIS BOOK IS A MUST READ!!! I usually have discussions with myself about how high to rate a book, but this one was automatic.
Lucky in Love - Jill Shalvis Another fantastic book!!! I can't get enough of Jill Shalvis. It was light, funny, sweet and everything in between. Mallory and Ty are amazing. If you read the previous books in the series and are a fan, or any of her other books, you will love this book just as much. If this is your first, you are in for a treat and will soon be hooked just like the rest of us.

Can be read as a stand alone since it reads almost like it's the first of a new series (since it sort of is) :) Enjoy!
Remember Me - Laura Moore I can't believe I haven't read Laura Moore before. I picked the book on a fluke and couldn't put it down. I loved the love story and the troubled sibling relationship. I cannot wait to read the next book. I already read the excerpt and I can tell I'll be reading it in one day. If you haven't read this, you absolutely have to check it out.
The Ideal Man - Julie Garwood The Ideal Man

This is the first time I've read anything from Julie Garwood and I have to say, if this is what all her books are like, I've been missing out. I love Ellie and Max and was sorry to finish the book because I wanted to continue reading about them. The pace of the book was great with not one page just filling up space. Highly recommend it!
Lover at Last - J.R. Ward At Last!!!! I have been waiting for this book forever. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Qhuinn and Blay. I didn't buy it since I'm quitting HER, so I had to wait for it from the library, and the wait was killing me! But I wasn't going to make the same mistake I made with her last 2 books.

OMG!!! I'm not going to lie and say it was exactly as good as I wanted it to be, but I am just soooo glad it's over. I liked that she didn't throw them together right away, but I would have liked for her to wrap it up a lot sooner than the very end. Having said that, who gives a shit! I finally read it and that's all that matters. It was also a little annoying the number of side stories that were going on, and although some caught my interest I refuse to give in. It's so much to remember and, when I don't really care yet, it just gets in my way. Less than half of the book was actually about Qhuinn and Blay which I think is ridiculous. I would rather have shorter books released more often than these monstrous books about everyone and their mama. But thats just me.

Anyway.... If you love Qhuinn and Blay half as much as I do, you should definitely read the book.
Lover Reborn - J R Ward Lover Reborn

I'm undecided as to whether or not I actually liked this book, or if my expectations for it were so low and that's the reason I liked it. Because let's be real, I wasn't interested in reading about Tohr yet. I thought it was too soon for him and I really wanted to read about Qhuinn and Blay not anyone else. Either way, I was satisfied with the story. Was I in love with it? NO. I didn't feel that bond between Thor and No One. It felt very superficial and at the end I didn't really want them to end up together. It felt more like a "live and learn" than "I can't live without you". But all in all, regardless of my feelings about Thors story being a little premature and what I would have liked their story to be, it was a good read and at no point did I feel like I didn't want to finish the book. The best part of this book? I'm one step closer to Qhuinn and Blay!!!!
The Great Escape - Susan Elizabeth Phillips I couldn't seem to put my thoughts into words, so I was reading the other reviews for this book while I decided and I gotta say...... I am so surprised at the mediocre and negative reviews!!! I absolutely LOVED this book and I'm not letting anyone convince me otherwise. I waited such a long time for it (time moves differently for me), but it was worth it (sort of - DON'T TAKE SO LONG WITH THE NEXT ONE). After reading Simply Irresistible, which was amazing, I had what I felt were realistic expectations for Lucy. I found nothing of the teenager I met in First Lady in Simply Irresistible which was disappointing, but was confident that SEP wouldn't let me down and she didn't. Definitely 5 stars!
The Darkest Seduction (Lords of the Underworld Series #9) - Gena Showalter Gotta tell you, I thought I was done with Paris, and his whining, and his whoring ways. But this book was FABULOUS!!!! I read it because of course I'm in LOVE with the series, but did not really expect to enjoy it, cause like I said, Paris has been on my shit list since 2 books ago, but OMG!!!! It was awesome!! Completely unexpected and by the end I was speechless. 2 thumbs up for The Darkest Seduction. Can't wait for the next book. The Darkest Seduction
